Top environmental barrister leads London Plan challenge

No policy protection for legally "threatened" North Atlantic Wet Heaths on Wimbledon Common in London Plan

First step taken to stop the London Plan from decimating London

I am thrilled to announce that I am working with Estelle Dehon and Ruchi Parekh of Cornerstone Barristers to take forward a challenge to the London Plan

Marc Willers QC is unfortunately unable to represent me as he is fully committed to the Portuguese youth climate change case that has been filed in the European Court of Human Rights. I would like to thank Marc for working directly with me and for his invaluable support and advice

In recommending Estelle Dehon to me, Marc said:

“Estelle is without doubt the best Junior planning and environmental law barrister I've worked with in my career”

You can read Estelle Dehon’s biography and client testimonials here

I will be using Estelle and Ruchi’s opinion on the merits and potential grounds of our claims against the London Plan - including matters relating to heritage, open spaces, protected habitats and species, Kingston and possible breaches of procedures - as the basis of a pre-action protocol letter to The Mayor of London

This is the first official step towards issuing a legal challenge to the London Plan

Removing graffiti, trampling and climbing damages ancient trees

I now need to start raising £20,000 to fund Estelle and Ruchi’s issuance of a legal challenge with the Courts and to cover my potential liability to The Mayor of London’s costs. My liability to costs will be decided by the Courts after I have formally issued a legal challenge

THE ROYAL PARKS say human activity damages ancient trees

Please donate generously to my fundraising, share it widely and encourage other people to donate so that we can challenge this highly-flawed plan

I will donate any funds that I do not use in taking this legal challenge forward to the NHS Charities Together Appeal
