Legal challenge of London Plan? - London Assembly meets 14 July at 11am
Updated: Jul 14, 2020
You can read the letter that I sent to Sadiq Khan in his role as Mayor of London and to Robert Jenrick as Secretary of State for Housing, Local Government and Communities here.
In the letter, I confirm that I have received the opinion of Marc Willers QC, a top London barrister from Garden Court Chambers, that the London Plan is open to challenge on its heritage policies and explain the basis of a possible challenge.
The Planning and Regeneration Committee of the London Assembly will meet tomorrow, Tuesday 14 July at 11 am, to discuss progress being made by the Mayor on implementing Robert Jenrick's directions on the London Plan and the impact of Covid-19 on the process of approving the plan.
I have sent the Committee members attending tomorrow's meeting a copy of the letter that I have sent to Robert Jenrick and Sadiq Khan.
You can read the agenda for the meeting here.
The meeting will be live-streamed here:
Lisa Fairmaner, erstwhile planning officer at Kingston Council and now Interim Head of London Plan and Growth Strategies at the GLA, is invited as a guest to tomorrow's meeting
